The Ukrainian car-sharing service Getmancar has started operating in three German and five Romanian cities. Users of the service can rent cars on a daily basis and drive throughout all countries in the European Union.
In Germany, Getmancar is available in Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, and Munich. Currently, the German fleet includes up to 50 vehicles, including premium models worth around 80,000 euros.
Users can also rent cargo vans such as the Mercedes 114 and Renault Master. The cost of car rental in Germany starts at $28.55 per day.
In Romania, Getmancar began operating at the end of May. The service is available in Bucharest, Constanța, Brașov, Bacău, and Sibiu. The local Romanian fleet consists of about 200 cars, with rental prices starting at $35.10 per day.
“Unlike the car-sharing model in Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia, in Germany and Romania the company operates on a standard car rental scheme. Another feature is that users can drive the rented cars throughout the entire EU. If the driver returns the car to the same city where they rented it, no additional fee is charged,” the company explains.
If a user leaves the car in German or Romanian cities where Getmancar is not available, an additional fee applies.
Getmancar is a Ukrainian car-sharing service founded by Taras Hetmanskyi in 2017. The company’s headquarters are located in Dnipro.
