The Museum of the Ukrainian Diaspora has established a virtual museum, where digitized exhibits from the museum's collection and its partners from Ukraine and abroad are being collected. 

The Virtual Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora is an educational and research web platform created to publish the digitized collection of the Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora and its partners, disseminate knowledge about the history and cultural heritage of global Ukrainians, the activities of Ukrainian institutions around the world and prominent personalities of Ukrainian origin, publish scientific and educational materials on diaspora issues, and inform about events and news in the global Ukrainian world.

The Virtual Museum of the Ukrainian Diaspora was established by the Museum of the Ukrainian Diaspora and the International Charitable Foundation of the World's Ukrainians "Diaspora," with the participation of the Museum of Kyiv, the Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Center "Oseredok" in Winnipeg, Canada, the Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago, USA, and the Ukrainian Free Academy of Sciences in New York, USA.

The web platform already features approximately 400 digitized exhibits. Special thematic and memorial sections have been created, including those dedicated to the last President of the Ukrainian National Republic in exile, Mykola Plaviuk, conductor and composer Oleksandr Koshits, the artistic Krychevsky family, and Ukrainians in Canada and Australia.

In the "Names" section, biographies and photographs of 80 representatives from three waves of emigration are presented. It includes well-known figures who have left a significant mark in various fields, as well as those who are less known in their home country.

Work has also begun on collecting and publishing information on the collections of the global Ukrainian community held in various museums and archives in Ukraine and around the world, along with the publication of specialized scientific research.

According to the project's chief editor, art historian, and head of the branch of the Museum of the Ukrainian Diaspora, Oksana Pidsukha, the collection currently consists of approximately 20,000 exhibits. The digitization efforts prioritize works of art and particularly rare historical artifacts. Currently, over 100 artifacts from the collections of global Ukrainian institutions that have been transferred to the Virtual Museum of the Ukrainian Diaspora have been published on the website.
