Through the Ukrainian maritime corridor, a total of 75 million tons of cargo has been exported, including 50.1 million tons of agricultural products, according to the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.

"Since the Ukrainian maritime corridor began operations, the ports of the Odessa region have processed 75 million tons of cargo, with 50.1 million tons being agricultural products," the ministry said in a Facebook post on Friday.

It was noted that Ukrainian goods were exported to 50 countries, including Africa, Asia, Europe, and the U.S.

"While the aggressor continues to systematically destroy port infrastructure, threatening the world with a food crisis, Ukraine confirms its status as a key player in the global food market, increasing export volumes despite regular shelling," the ministry stated.

Since March 15, after the ports of the Odessa region began operating 24/7, the export of agricultural and other products increased by 20%, the ministry added.

In September, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that, during more than a year of the maritime corridor's operation, Ukraine had transported 70 million tons of cargo, with over 2,500 ships departing from Ukrainian ports.

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority reported that cargo traffic through the maritime corridor in August amounted to 5.9 million tons, of which 3.6 million tons were agricultural products. Overall, Ukrainian ports increased cargo handling by 1.8 times in January-September 2024, reaching 74 million tons.
