In each of these markets in 2020, Ukrainian suppliers occupied a leading position. The structure of honey imports in these countries in terms of major supplier countries is as follows:

Honey is the only product whose quotas are used literally in the first days of duty-free trade with the EU. This serves as an indisputable confirmation of the high quality of Ukrainian honey.
In addition, Ukrainian producers of honey and bee products have the opportunity to export their products to the State of Qatar. The relevant certificate was approved by the competent authorities of the two countries. The opening of the market became possible thanks to the joint work of diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and specialists of the State Food and Consumer Service.
At the same time, our manufacturers are improving their positions. In order to make them even more competitive and strong, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the State Food and Consumer Service, continues to open up new markets.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the State Food and Consumer Service are working together to open new markets for Ukrainian exports, providing support to manufacturers and removing technical barriers to trade, as well as providing government guarantees regarding compliance with the requirements of partner countries, the report said.
