Ukraine is one of the largest exporters of poultry meat in the world. According to last year's results, the country took 8th place in the world ranking - the volume of sales of these products abroad reached 431 thousand tons.
The leading importers of Ukrainian poultry meat are: Saudi Arabia (19% of Ukrainian exports), the Netherlands (12%) and the UAE (8%).
In each of these markets in 2020, Ukrainian suppliers are among the largest. The structure of imports of poultry meat in these countries in terms of major supplier countries is as follows:
- Saudi Arabia: Brazil (70%), France (10%), Ukraine (13%);
- The Netherlands: Germany (22%), Poland (18%), Great Britain (18%), Belgium (13%), Ukraine (9%);
- UAE: Brazil (71%), USA (7%), Saudi Arabia (6%), Ukraine (4%).
And although we are now seeing a 4% reduction in poultry production in the first half of 2021, exports remain consistently high. This gives reason to hope for further high places in the ranking of the world's largest exporters of poultry meat.
