Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Defense for European Integration, Serhii Boiev, met with the delegation of the French Ministry of Armed Forces' Ukraine Support Task Force, led by Major General Cédric du Garden, to discuss plans for continued cooperation.
Serhii Boiev thanked France for its leadership in the Artillery Coalition, providing Caesar artillery systems that have proven effective on the battlefield, and for training Ukrainian military personnel, including equipping and training one of Ukraine's brigades.
He also highlighted the priority areas of cooperation with France in defense for the upcoming year:
- Formation and support for new brigades;
- Provision of critical weapons, including air defense systems and long-range missile weapons;
- Implementation of joint projects in the defense-industrial complex.
"Ukrainian defense companies will be capable of producing up to $25 billion worth of products next year. We hope that some of this will be produced through our partnership with France," Boiev noted.
The sides also discussed funding directions for defense projects in 2025, including the creation of joint defense enterprises as a key priority.
