Today, on March 10, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Markiyan Dmytrasevych and Acting Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection Olha Shevchenko had an online meeting with representatives of the Hong Kong Center for Food Safety headed by Dr. Wong Wang Christine.
During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the current state of sanitary and phytosanitary measures between Ukraine and Hong Kong as well as further cooperation between the countries to expand markets for Ukrainian products. In particular, they focused on the possibility of exporting frozen pork and pork by-products, poultry fat, and processed poultry protein.
Mr. Markiyan Dmytrasevych thanked for submitting additional questions to the Questionnaire on pork exports from Ukraine to Hong Kong. He also noted that after being analyzed by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection's experts, the materials will be sent to the Hong Kong side for consideration.
