Ukraine and Turkey have agreed to cooperate in the field of rehabilitating Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
It is noted that agreements were reached at a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Natalia Kalmykova and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Ukraine Mustafa Levent Bilgen.
"We are very grateful for the assistance that the Republic of Turkey provides to Ukraine. Now its scope has expanded with cooperation in the rehabilitation sector. Recently, a pilot project on the rehabilitation of military personnel has been launched," she said.
According to Kalmykova, the aim of this project is to create an effective rehabilitation space involving civilian and military healthcare institutions, social services, and local government bodies. The Ministry of Defense reminded that the pilot project includes, among other things, the establishment of centers of excellence - institutions that will take the lead in the field of rehabilitation.
