Ukraine's Minister of Youth and Sports, Matviy Bidnyi, President of the National Olympic Committee Vadym Hutsait, and President of the All-Ukrainian Archery Federation Oleksandr Nikolaievskyi addressed the World Archery Federation.

As reported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports press service, they are calling for the continued suspension of Russian and Belarusian archers from all international sporting events.

The Ukrainian officials expressed deep concern that World Archery had allowed Russian athletes under the age of 21 to participate in international competitions.

In their letter, they presented facts demonstrating violations by the Russian Archery Federation of both the Olympic Charter and its direct ties with the Russian military and other law enforcement agencies. The Ukrainian side provided documented evidence of direct violations of the principles of integrity by the Russian Archery Federation.

"These violations are particularly egregious in light of Russia's ongoing invasion, the documented atrocities against Ukrainian civilians, and the illegal occupation of sovereign Ukrainian territory," the letter states.

Ukraine has called on international sports federations to continue suspending representatives from aggressor countries from international competitions.
