Ukraine is interested in expanding cooperation with Germany in the defense industry. Promising joint projects may include the production of ammunition, air defense and missile defense systems, armored vehicle repairs, and more.

This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for European Integration Serhiy Boyev during a meeting with the current and newly appointed Chargé d'Affaires of the German Embassy in Ukraine.

Tim Prange, whose diplomatic mission in Ukraine is coming to an end, introduced his successor, Max Rush, the newly appointed Chargé d'Affaires of the German Embassy in Ukraine. The parties discussed future cooperation, and Serhiy Boyev thanked Tim Prange for his dedicated work during his diplomatic mission.

"Germany is one of our key partners, and it is important for us to maintain close cooperation. We will work on new projects, including in the defense industry," emphasized Serhiy Boyev.

The Deputy Minister of Defense stressed that it is especially important for Ukraine to receive support that would be felt on the battlefield. He also noted that Ukraine is interested in continuing the work of the Contact Group in the 'Ramstein' format. For its part, the German side familiarized the Ukrainian delegation with the details of the formation of Germany's defense and security budget and outlined the prospects for future interaction, considering the change in the parliamentary team.
