The Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Qatar has the honour to announce the launch of a new permanent cultural and artistic platform - The Virtual Museum "UKRAINE: NEW ERA ART".
It was done in cooperation with well-known in Qatar Ukrainian artists Andriy and Nadiya Chernovil. The main goal of this project is to showcase properly modern Ukraine and masterpieces of the Ukrainian artists to the Qatari and eventually to the wider audience.
CHERNOVIL ART GALLERY is located in the heart of Qatar in The Gate Mall. This is a platform purpose-built, contemporary exhibition space that serves the Visual Art, Art History Art Theory and Curatorial Studies.
Providing a site for cultural diplomacy and faculty artistic and curatorial collaborations from the international art field. The Gallery collaborates with international artists and curators "outside the box". The Gallery allows for interactions on issues relating to art, culture, and creative research within the framework of inter-museum cooperation.Â
Upcoming exhibition displays works of 10 prominent Ukrainian representatives of different generations and schools of art (painting and graphics). It includes masterpieces of Ivan Marchuk, Viktor Sydorenko, Petro Antip, Kateryna Kosyanenko, Olena Pryduvalova, Serhiy Gay, Denys Sarazhyn, Andriy Chernovil, Oksana Stratiychuk and Olesya Dzhurayeva. All of them are well-known artists who successfully represent Ukraine at different international top exhibitions and art festivals. They expect that this new art platform will promote Ukraine and Ukrainian art in the State of Qatar and will contribute significantly to the development of cultural cooperation between our states.
Running for three months, the exhibition will be accessible for art lovers through the virtual museum until December 17.

This initiative also serves as a symbol of new possibilities of the Information Age which, like art, is capable to overcome distances and boundaries and support cultural exchanges between countries.
Art enthusiasts in Qatar can look forward to more diverse artworks from Ukraine as the virtual museum has announced it will be organising this year and next year a series of new exhibitions which will feature Ukrainian artists and showcase their works to a bigger audience.
