Ukraine launches Diia.AI — the world’s first national AI assistant that delivers real public services, not just consultations.

Ukraine is introducing Diia.AI — the world’s first national AI assistant for public services. It will help Ukrainians access services directly in chat on the Diia portal, instantly selecting the right option for various life situations — from the birth of a child to starting a business.

Diia.AI is a new level of interaction with the state. Citizens no longer need to search for information about public services — they can simply ask in the chat. The AI assistant works 24/7, helping users find the right service, guiding them through the application process, and checking data in state registers.

Already today, Ukrainians can request an income certificate via chat. More services will gradually become available.

How Diia.AI Works

The AI assistant tailors services to life situations. For example:

  • Write «My house was damaged by shelling» — the assistant will recommend the eRestoration service and explain how to apply.
  • Want to open a business? It will provide information on available grants.
  • Ask about your property or sole proprietorship — the AI will automatically retrieve the necessary data from registers.

The assistant does not require passport details, banking, or personal data. All interactions are safe and confidential.

How to Use Diia.AI

  1. Open the Diia portal.

  2. Select the Diia.AI icon instead of the standard search and log in.
  3. Enter your request on the homepage (e.g., «I want to re-register my car» or «give me an income certificate»).
  4. Receive consultation or service.

Currently, Diia.AI is available in open beta testing and continues to learn. Users can help improve it by asking questions, testing different queries, and leaving feedback directly in the chat. Simply press like/dislike and leave a comment. The Diia team will use this feedback to train the model and make the assistant’s answers even more useful.

Global Context

The launch of Diia.AI is another step toward building the most convenient digital state in the world. Estonia, Singapore, the UK, France, and Japan already have their own AI assistants. But Ukraine is the first country in the world to launch a national-scale AI assistant that not only provides consultations but also delivers ready-to-use services.

This is a milestone in digitalization that makes interaction with the state simpler for millions of Ukrainians — and sets a global benchmark for digital governance.

Diia.AI was developed with the support of the UK DIGIT project («Digitalization for Growth, Integrity, and Transparency»), implemented by Eurasia Foundation and funded by UK Dev, as well as the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP program, implemented by East Europe Foundation.
