Ukraine’s public debt increased by nearly $4 billion in June

As of the end of June, Ukraine’s total state and state-guaranteed debt reached $184.84 billion, increasing by $3.88 billion over the month.

This was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

As of June 30, 2025, Ukraine’s state and state-guaranteed debt amounted to UAH 7,696.95 billion, or $184.84 billion.

“During June 2025, the amount of state and state-guaranteed debt of Ukraine increased by UAH 181.73 billion in the hryvnia equivalent and by $3.88 billion in the dollar equivalent,” the statement reads.

Specifically:

  • State and state-guaranteed external debt amounted to UAH 5,775.49 billion (75.04% of the total), or $138.70 billion.
  • State and state-guaranteed domestic debt stood at UAH 1,921.46 billion (24.96% of the total), or $46.14 billion.

Out of the total:

  • State debt amounted to UAH 7,402.52 billion (96.18%), or $177.77 billion.
  • State-guaranteed debt was UAH 294.43 billion (3.83%), or $7.07 billion.
