In 2026, direct losses suffered by Ukrainian businesses as a result of Russian attacks have already reached $7.7 billion.

Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi said this in an interview with BBC Ukraine.

"This year, Russian strikes have caused $7.7 billion in direct losses to Ukrainian businesses. More than one million square metres of warehouse, production and logistics facilities have been destroyed or damaged. Despite this, the economy continues to function," he emphasised.

The government has launched several programmes to support businesses. In particular, the state is providing premises to companies to facilitate relocation and the dispersal of warehouses and production facilities.

This year's state budget allocates UAH 18 billion to subsidise interest rates under the Affordable Loans 5-7-9% programme.

Another important decision concerns maritime transport. Vessels entering Ukrainian ports are currently unable to obtain international insurance because of the extremely high risks. The state has therefore undertaken to partially compensate for losses.

The agricultural sector and the hundreds of thousands of people employed in it depend on the continued operation of these maritime routes.
