Soldiers of the 11th Mykhailo Hrushevsky Brigade and the 34th Kherson Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine successfully carried out a second operation overnight to deliver humanitarian aid to the occupied city of Oleshky in Kherson region.

Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi announced the operation on Facebook.

According to him, National Guard servicemen, working together with the 30th Marine Corps, the 34th Separate Marine Brigade “Borysfen” and the 79th Border Guard Detachment of the State Border Guard Service, used drones to deliver packages weighing nearly four tonnes in total. The supplies included food, medicines and children’s kits.

Vyhivskyi thanked everyone directly involved in the operation, including those responsible for delivery, cover, engineering support and logistics.

He also separately thanked the crew of the Perun UAV, which not only delivered food during the operation but also rescued six animals from the temporarily occupied territory.

The minister also thanked communities, educational institutions, charities and volunteers from across Ukraine who collected the humanitarian aid and made the operation possible.

“Every single package — nearly 400 in total — was successfully delivered,” the Interior Minister said.

Vyhivskyi noted that while Russian forces are effectively holding residents of temporarily occupied Oleshky hostage without food, water or medicines, Ukrainian units continue to do everything possible to save Ukrainians from hunger.
