Since the beginning of 2024, Ukrainian seaports have handled 91.1 million tons of cargo, 70% more than the same period last year.
According to Timur Tkachенко, Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine,
"From January to November 2024, 89.9 million tons of cargo were processed, a 70% increase compared to 52.8 million tons in 2023."
In November, seaports processed 7.6 million tons of cargo, compared to 6.7 million tons in the same month last year.
Grain remained the leader, with 56.1 million tons processed, up from 39.4 million tons in 2023.
Iron ore shipments ranked second, growing to 16.7 million tons from 3.2 million tons last year.
A significant factor in these results was the Ukrainian corridor, through which 73.4 million tons of cargo have been transported since the beginning of the year.
