This is the second time in history (and the second time in the last five years) that a Ukrainian musician has won the first prize of one of the world's most prestigious competitions - in 2018, Ukrainian violinist Diana Tishchenko won the Long-Thibaud International Violin Competition, reported by the Муку Music Fund.

The violinist also received several special prizes: the Press Prize, the Audience Award, and an award from the musicians of the orchestra that accompanied the finalists.

In the final of the competition, Bohdan performed Sibelius' violin concerto. It was performed in the presence of two thousand spectators in the great hall of the University of Paris II, accompanied by the Orchestra of the Republican Guard under the direction of Maestro François Boulanger.

Jury: Sarah Nemtanu (France), Silvia Marcovici (Romania), Akiko Suwanai (Japan), Jean-Jacques Kantorow (France), Marc Laforet (France), Sergey Khachatryan (Armenia), Boris Kuschnir (Austria), Jean-Claude Casadesus (France).
