"Ukrnafta" has started preparing the site for a new directional well in the northeastern part of the country, with a projected depth of 3314 meters.
Sergey Koretsky, the company's director, announced this on Facebook.
According to him, drilling is planned for the purpose of exploring the productive horizon of the Viséan deposits of the Lower Carboniferous and further exploitation of it.
The drilling of the well will be carried out by the subsidiary of the company, 'Ukrnafta Drilling,' using our own drilling rig ZJ-40, with a lifting capacity of 225 tons.
Currently, the drilling rig, which was used at the previous company site, is being transported to the new location, and drilling will commence in the nearest future," Koretsky explained.
He also mentioned that the estimated initial oil flow rate is 26.5 tons per day.
The head of "Ukrnafta" added that this is the first of 30 wells that the company plans to start drilling with the involvement of its own drilling equipment in 2024.
