The VITAGRO Group of Companies is completing the construction of new grain storage facilities at its elevator in the Iziaslav district of Khmelnytskyi region.
This was reported by the company's press service.
The company is building two additional silos at the elevator with a total capacity of 11,000 tons of simultaneous storage and is preparing a site for storage in grain sleeves with a capacity of 15,000 tons.
The elevator’s total capacity will increase to 66,000 tons of simultaneous storage. The work is expected to be completed by the beginning of summer this year, in time for the new winter crop harvest.
"We started working on the project in the fall of 2024. At that time, we contracted the equipment and planned the construction process. Overall, the first stage of the project will cost about 153 million UAH. As part of increasing capacity, we will not only expand storage volume but also add another working tower, allowing us to receive two different crops simultaneously and load grain onto both rail and road transport in parallel. This will increase unloading speed from 1,400 tons per day to 2,300 tons per day," said Oleksandr Kulyhin, director of grain storage at VITAGRO Group.
Currently, the company owns 5 elevators in Khmelnytskyi and Rivne regions with a total capacity of 385,000 tons of simultaneous storage.
