President Volodymyr Zelensky announced in his evening address that Ukraine is working with its European partners to develop a new security architecture.

“There was just a report from Defense Minister Umerov on communications and joint work with our European partners. New support packages are on the way. We are also preparing a new security architecture—specific details on how a partner security contingent might function in Ukraine,” Zelensky said.

The President emphasized that Ukraine will do everything on its part to ensure that political decisions—regarding the contingent—are implemented as swiftly as possible when the right time comes.

“For 36 days now, the United States has proposed a complete and unconditional halt to strikes in the air, at sea, and on land. Ukraine immediately accepted this proposal—more than a month ago. Russia continues to ignore it and has yet to face consequences. That’s the core of the problem,” Zelensky added.

He also noted that Wednesday’s discussions with diplomats covered potential meetings in Ukraine and Europe in the coming weeks, coordination with the United States, and engagement with other powerful states capable of influencing diplomacy.

The President stressed that it must be made equally clear across all parts of the world that the sole cause of this war is Russia.
