At the moment, Ukraine is not conducting negotiations with the Russian Federation and does not see any interest from Russia in a peace process.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said this to journalists.

“We do not have negotiations with the Russian Federation. They (Russia) show no interest at all. But we do have interests and dialogue with the American side, and we are grateful to them for their constructive work. As for Russia, all we see are its strikes on our energy sector, infrastructure, and critical infrastructure. This does not indicate that Russia is interested in a peace process,” Zelensky noted.

Commenting on whether an energy truce between Ukraine and Russia is possible, the head of state said that Ukraine is giving a fair response to Russian attacks on the Ukrainian energy system.

“If Russia is ready for an energy truce, we have always emphasized that we are ready. This is important for the people,” Zelensky said.
