The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, agreed to send IAEA experts to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

This is stated in a statement on the website of the Elysee Palace.

Today, French President Emmanuel Macron had a telephone conversation with the Russian dictator.

"The President reiterated his concern about the risks posed by the situation at the Zaporizhia NPP for nuclear safety and spoke in favor of sending IAEA experts to the mission site as soon as possible, under the terms agreed by Ukraine and the UN. The President of the Russian Federation notified the President of the Republic of his consent to the deployment of this mission and the indicated methods," the message says.

It is noted that in the coming days, they will discuss the details of the deployment of this mission.
