Representatives of Epicentr K, the Ukrainian chain of stores, specialising in home improvement and gardening, handed over protective suits, medical masks and goggles to the Odessa Regional Clinical Hospital.
The company transferred to the regional medical institution the following medical supplies in order to combat the spread of COVID-19 :
- three-layer medical masks: 50,000 pieces;
- closed protective goggles: 500 pieces;
- protective overalls: 1,400 pieces.
"We are grateful to business for supporting the region in the fight against coronavirus infection. This is very important at the moment. Suits, masks and goggles will help us protect the lives of doctors who treat patients with COVID-19", said Nataliia Odarii-Zakharieva, Director of the Department of Health of the Odessa Regional State Administration
It is worth noting that the Odessa Regional Clinical Hospital is a hub, which receives all personal protective equipment for further redistribution in medical institutions in the region. As regards with this initiative, Dmytro Baidiuk, Deputy General Director of. Epicenter K LLC, said:
"Our company cares about the health of Ukrainians and makes every effort to help doctors resist the spread of coronavirus. We consulted with the Ministry of Health and received clear recommendations on the need to provide remedies for our doctors. As part of this program, Epicenter brought humanitarian cargo to medical institutions of Ukraine by Mriya aircraft: 2 million masks, 75,000 protective overalls and 30,000 goggles, which are transferred to all regional centers of the country."
