Russians plan to demolish at least 30% of the private sector in the occupied city of Mariupol (Donetsk region). The advisor to the Mariupol mayor, Petro Andryushchenko reports this.

According to him, this amounts to at least 40% of the genuine historical buildings in the city.

"The 'gift' was put under the New Year tree by the occupiers of Mariupol and the Donetsk region. We are talking about a fantastic plan to build a single transport hub on the site of the destroyed railway station," the statement said.

Andryushchenko explains that preparatory work is expected to begin next year. The mayor's advisor emphasizes that the occupiers must "clear" the private sector in Mariupol.

"And one more nuance. No compensation is provided here at all. Redemption at the appraised value at most. That is, a house at the price of a dog kennel," he added.
