Russian forces attacked the territory of Ukraine yesterday evening and overnight, using 20 attack drones and two S-300 guided missiles.

Air Defense Forces destroyed 19 kamikaze drones, according to information reported by he Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their Telegram channel.

"On the night of January 17, 2024, the enemy launched an attack with 20 attack UAVs of the 'Shahed-136/131' type from the area of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia, and two guided anti-aircraft missiles S-300 from the Belgorod region, Russia, towards Kharkiv," the Air Force statement said.

It is also reported that, with the efforts of the Air Force in collaboration with the air defense forces, 19 "Shahed" drones were successfully destroyed.

To counter the aerial attack, anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups were deployed. The anti-air defense was active in the Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kirovohrad regions.
