The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office has declared the activities of the British Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) “undesirable,” according to Current Time.
The Russian Prosecutor’s Office claims that much of the organization’s materials and events focus on research into Russia’s political and military spheres, and that members allegedly “discuss Russia’s combat and intelligence tactics, methods of warfare, and the development of new types of weapons under the guise of countering a fictional Russian threat.”
Additionally, the organization is said to accuse Russia of “seeking to annex Europe, discrediting the West, and interfering in other countries’ elections,” and to call on NATO members to “unite for the most destructive impact on the Russian economy.”
The Russian Prosecutor’s Office also stated that following Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, “the rhetoric intensified, and members of the organization began urging states and citizens to support Ukraine and increase sanctions pressure on Russia.”
The Royal United Services Institute was founded in 1831 and conducts research in defense and security. Its website publishes materials related to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
