Russian troops are reinforcing their personnel in the Zaporizhzhia region, currently numbering over 90,000 occupiers. However, there is no imminent threat of an offensive in this direction.
This was reported by Dmitry Likhoviy, the spokesperson for the Tavriya operational grouping of troops, during a television marathon.
"If we look at the number of enemy personnel, for example, in the Zaporizhzhia region alone, there are quite a lot of Russians here, almost 90,000. And there has been an increase in this number – about two thousand more over the last three weeks. However, our intelligence indicates that there are no significant changes that would affect the nature of the fighting," Likhoviy said.
According to him, the number of Russians present in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions is insufficient for conducting successful offensive operations "beyond the current positions where the enemy is now."
The spokesperson also noted that the current nature of the combat operations in the operational area of the Tavriya grouping is positional confrontation, as "the Russians do not have the capability to conduct active assault operations on several fronts simultaneously."
