Russia launched 100 drones at Ukraine overnight

On the night of April 29, 2025 (starting at 11:00 p.m. on April 28), the Russian forces launched an attack using 100 strike UAVs and decoy drones of various types from the following locations: Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Bryansk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Chauda in Crimea.

The aerial assault was repelled by Ukrainian Defense Forces using aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile fire teams.

As of 8:30 a.m., 37 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (and other drone types) were confirmed shot down in the east, north, south, and center of the country.

An additional 47 decoy drones were lost in unspecified areas without causing any damage.

As a result of the attack, regions affected included Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kyiv.
