On the night of November 26, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with Iskander-M ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Air defense forces shot down 76 drones.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the night, the terrorists launched attacks on Ukraine using:

  • Four Iskander-M missiles from the Voronezh and Kursk regions;
  • 188 Shahed drones and unidentified UAVs from the directions of Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

To repel the attack, the following were engaged:

  • Aviation;
  • Anti-aircraft missile units;
  • Electronic warfare (EW) systems;
  • Mobile fire teams of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As of 9 a.m., 76 drones were shot down in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Sumy, and several other regions.

Additionally, 96 drones were lost in action, likely due to active EW countermeasures by the Defense Forces. Five other drones flew toward Belarus.

"Unfortunately, there have been strikes on critical infrastructure. In several regions, private and multi-story residential buildings were damaged due to the massive UAV attack. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or injuries," the Air Force stated.
