As a result of the March 20 strike on the Russian Aerospace Forces airfield Engels-2, the Russian forces lost 96 cruise missiles that had been stockpiled for three missile strikes on Ukraine.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
"According to updated information, as a result of the strike by Ukraine’s Defense Forces on the Russian Aerospace Forces airfield 'Engels-2' on March 20, 2025, the enemy lost 96 air-launched cruise missiles, including due to secondary detonation," the statement reads.
The General Staff noted that these weapons were intended for three missile strikes during March and April of this year.
"Additionally, strikes on aviation fuel storage sites led to the destruction of significant reserves, negatively affecting the Russian aggressor's ability to sustain combat operations," the General Staff added.
