The ongoing Russian aggression continues to take a heavy toll on civilians in several Ukrainian regions, with recent reports confirming multiple deaths and injuries over the past day.
In the Kherson region, Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that three people were killed and ten others wounded due to Russian attacks. Over the last 24 hours, numerous settlements including Antonivka, Beryslav, Veletenske, Vesele, Havrylivka, Dniprovske, Dudchany, Zmiivka, Kachkarivka, Kizomys, Komyshany, Kostyrka, Mykhailivka, Mykilske, the city of Kherson, and several other locations came under intense drone, artillery, and air strikes.
Russian forces targeted critical infrastructure, social facilities, and residential areas, causing damage to a private home, a gas pipeline, garages, and private vehicles. During a nighttime drone assault, Ukrainian air defense successfully shot down three Shahed-131/136 drones over the region. Tragically, the violence resulted in the death of a 66-year-old man in the Dnipro district of Kherson city after a Russian shelling attack.
In the Donetsk region, five civilians lost their lives on May 30 due to Russian forces, according to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration. The fatalities included three people in Pokrovsk and two in Bilozerske. Additionally, nine others were injured during the day. Since the full-scale Russian invasion began, Donetsk region has suffered 3,232 civilian deaths and 7,222 injuries, not including casualties from the heavily devastated cities of Mariupol and Volnovakha.
The Sumy region has also seen severe attacks, with over 160 strikes reported from the morning of May 30 to the morning of May 31. These attacks resulted in two deaths and four injuries. The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that the Russian forces targeted 39 settlements across 16 territorial communities using guided aerial bombs, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and drone-dropped VOG grenades. Specifically, nearly 30 MLRS strikes, almost 40 VOG grenade drops from drones, and 10 guided bomb strikes were recorded.
In the Khotin community, a man born in 1966 and a woman born in 1964 were injured. In Nedryhailiv community, two individuals were wounded, with details still being clarified. The Bilopillia community suffered a drone strike on May 29 that killed a man born in 1957 and injured a woman born in 1941, who later succumbed to her injuries in hospital on May 30.
Local authorities, together with the State Emergency Service, National Police, and community organizations, evacuated 59 people from border areas during ongoing air raid alerts, which lasted nearly 12 hours throughout the day.
