Russian attacks kill civilians across Sumy, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions

Russian forces launched dozens of attacks across Ukraine’s Sumy, Donetsk, and Kherson regions over the past 24 hours, killing at least three civilians and injuring over two dozen others, according to regional officials.

Zaporizhzhia Region

In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian troops carried out 428 strikes on 17 settlements, injuring a 48-year-old woman in the Orikhiv community, according to regional governor Ivan Fedorov.

The attacks included 10 airstrikes on Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Malynivka, Bilohiria, and Uspenivka. In addition, 305 drones of various types, primarily FPV drones, targeted Zaporizhzhia, Nyzhnia Khortytsia, Pryvilne, Bilenke, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Malynivka, Shcherbaky, Preobrazhenka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne.

Russian forces also launched seven MLRS strikes on Kamianske, Huliaipole, Yehorivka, and Shcherbaky, and fired 106 artillery shells at Kamianske, Huliaipole, Malynivka, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novoandriivka.

Authorities received 53 reports of damage to apartments, private homes, vehicles, garages, and infrastructure facilities

Sumy region

In the Sumy region, Russian troops carried out 60 attacks on 26 populated areas, killing one woman and injuring another, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

The Sumy and Shostka districts were hit hardest, with over 20 guided aerial bomb strikes recorded. Russian forces also deployed FPV drones, other unmanned aerial vehicles, and missile systems. In the Znob-Novhorodske community, shelling damaged a multi-story residential building and a private car. A woman born in 1982 was killed, and another woman, born in 1965, was injured. In the Sumy community, an administrative building was also damaged.

The air raid alert in the region lasted for 15 hours and 22 minutes.

Donetsk region

Russian attacks in the Donetsk region claimed the lives of two civilians in Kostiantynivka and left 17 others injured, reported Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, at least 3,376 civilians have been killed and 7,668 injured in Donetsk region, though these figures exclude casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha, which remain under occupation.

Kherson region

In the Kherson region, Russian forces attacked 38 populated areas, injuring six civilians, according to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

The strikes hit a wide area, including Kherson city and settlements such as Dudchany, Bilozerka, Zolota Balka, Dariivka, Beryslav, Stanislav, and Sofiivka. The occupiers targeted social infrastructure and residential neighborhoods, damaging an apartment building and six private homes.
