As a result of a Russian drone attack on September 28, facilities of the Akkerman Distillery winery in the Odessa region were destroyed, the company’s press service reported.

"We want to share an important update with you. On the night of September 27–28, the aggressor launched a massive strike on the Akkerman Distillery, where our AZNAURI brandy for the Ukrainian market was produced. The bottling workshop and warehouses were destroyed. This is a heavy blow for our team and the entire market. The most important thing — no one was injured. We also have existing stock of finished products, so you will still be able to find your favorite AZNAURI for sale. We are already working on restoring production and are confident that we will return even stronger very soon."

Akkerman Distillery is a company located in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Odessa region, on the shore of the Dniester estuary. It produces wines under the Aznauri brand from grape varieties such as Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and others. The range includes varietal, semi-sweet, and dry wines in 0.75 L, 1.5 L, and 3 L (Bag-in-Box) formats.

Production was modernized in 2019 with equipment from European manufacturers (Arol, Bertolaso Group, Borelli Group). The storage capacity holds 2.5 million liters of wine materials, the bottling line produces 6,000 bottles per hour, and total capacity reaches up to 24 million bottles per year.

The company exports wines to Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Poland, Latvia, China, Romania, Israel, and the USA. In 2020, AZNAURI PREMIUM SAPERAVI wine won a gold medal at the Wine and Spirits Ukraine competition.
