Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have intensified attacks across multiple Ukrainian regions, targeting cities, towns, and critical infrastructure, leaving civilians injured and causing extensive property damage.
Zaporizhzhia region
In the Zaporizhzhia region, 629 attacks were reported on 16 settlements. Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration, said a 20-year-old woman was injured in the regional center. The strikes included 13 air raids on Zaporizhzhia, Prymorske, Lukyanivske, Zaliznychne, Bilohirya, and Poltavka. In addition, 409 UAV attacks — mostly FPV drones — targeted Ternuvate, Plavni, Stepove, Hulyaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Charivne, Bilohirya, Poltavka, and Preobrazhenka. Russian forces also launched four multiple rocket launcher attacks on Stepove and Poltavka, and 203 artillery strikes hit several other communities. Authorities received 49 reports of damage to homes, apartments, and vehicles.
Sumy region
In the Sumy region, Russian strike drones hit civilian infrastructure in the Zarichnyi district, causing property damage and partial power outages. Regional head Oleg Hryhorov reported no casualties. In a separate morning drone strike, a trolleybus was hit, injuring two people who received medical care on site. Specialists are inspecting the area and recording damage, while a response headquarters has been deployed.
Dnipropetrovsk region
Russian forces shelled Nikopol and Marhanets with artillery and FPV drones. An evening strike in the Pokrovska community damaged solar panels, though no injuries were reported, according to regional administration head Serhii Lysak.
Donetsk region
In Donetsk region, over the past 24 hours (October 6), five residents were injured by Russian attacks, reported Donetsk Regional Administration head Vadym Filashkin on Facebook.
All 5 injured civilians were from Kostiantynivka. The total number of victims of Russian attacks in Donetsk region (3,671 killed and 8,279 injured) does not include casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Kherson region
Kherson was hit overnight on October 7, when shelling of the Korabelnyi district killed one man and injured three women, aged 51, 18, and 69, who sustained concussions and explosive-related head injuries. In the broader Kherson region, Russian attacks over the past 24 hours left one person dead and 18 others injured, including three children. Dozens of communities were affected, with damage reported to two apartment buildings, 139 private homes, a farm, a store, utility structures, vehicles, and water and gas pipelines.
Kharkiv region
In Kharkiv’s Nemishlianskyi district, a drone strike caused destruction and fire at a civilian enterprise. No casualties were reported, according to the State Emergency Service.
Poltava region
Russian drone strikes and falling debris damaged an energy facility, administrative buildings, warehouses, and railway rolling stock in the Poltava district, leaving 28 businesses and 1,070 households without electricity. A private home was also damaged.
Chernihiv region
This morning, Russian forces carried out another strike with "Shahed" drones on Novhorod-Siversky in Chernihiv region, there were hits, and a fire broke out. According to Oleksandr Selvestrov, head of the Novhorod-Siversky District Military Administration, "On the morning of October 7, Russians carried out another strike on Novhorod-Siversky. As a result of hits by several Shahed strike drones on a civilian facility, a fire broke out."
The hits occurred on one of the buildings of an agricultural enterprise where grain was stored. As noted, preliminarily, there are no casualties.
