On November 7, Russian forces carried out a massive strike with guided aerial bombs (GABs) on Zaporizhzhia, resulting in destruction and casualties.

According to the Telegram of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration head Ivan Fedorov,

"In the middle of the day, Russian missiles and GABs are targeting Ukraine, hitting civilians! A massive attack on Zaporizhzhia. The enemy carried out 5 strikes."

Fedorov stated that the bombs hit residential buildings and a hospital. Additionally, there are reports of wounded individuals, and the scale of the destruction is being assessed.

"At least one person is known to have been killed, and 10 others were wounded, including two children who were rescued from under the rubble," said Fedorov.

According to him, six people were taken to the hospital from the site of the attack on the high-rise building. The residents of the building will be offered alternative accommodation for the night.

Regarding the strike on the hospital, Fedorov mentioned that evacuation of both patients and medical staff is ongoing.

"Most of the evacuees have already been moved. Currently, all the medical equipment, including the linear accelerator and the CT scanner, will be covered with OSB boards to prevent air and water damage. At the moment, we can say that the initial part of the equipment survived, but most of it is definitely no longer usable," Fedorov commented.

The rescue operation is still ongoing, and there may still be people trapped under the debris.

UPDATE 17:19
