The Russian hacker group NoName057 carried out a cyberattack on several major websites in Belgium, including the MyGov.be portal, used by citizens to obtain official documents, and the website of the Walloon Parliament, as reported by Rtbf.

According to the Belgian Cybersecurity Center, these were DDoS attacks, where servers are overloaded with requests, causing temporary shutdowns. The attacks were not related to data theft.

In their Telegram channel, the hackers stated that the attack was a response to Belgium's decision to provide Ukraine with a new aid package worth 1 billion euros. In October of last year, the same group launched attacks on Belgian government websites for five days, mainly targeting small-town sites.

Authorities in Wallonia confirmed that the consequences of the attack on the regional parliament's website were limited—no data loss was recorded, and there were no extortion attempts or ransom demands. According to official representatives, the attack was aimed at disrupting online services but did not affect internal systems. Technical specialists are working to restore normal access to the site and have taken steps to block malicious IP addresses.

Previously, the Belgian Cybersecurity Center had warned of the potential threat of DDoS attacks from the NoName057 group, including the Walloon Parliament website on the group's target list.
