Russian strikes hit Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Poltava

Kherson region

One person was killed and eight others injured over the past 24 hours as Russian forces continued to shell the Kherson region, regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin wrote on Telegram.

According to Prokudin, Antonivka, Sadove, Inzhenerne, Zelenivka, Prydniprovske, Pravdyne, Chornobaivka, Bilozerka, Stanislav, Sofiivka, Kizomys, Shyroka Balka, Romashkove, Oleksandrivka, Rozlyv, Tokarivka, Poniativka, Mykilske, Beryslav, Havrylivka, Virivka, Stepne, Zamožne, Novoraĭsk, Novovorontsovka, Tomaryne, Shliakhove, Mala Oleksandrivka, Mykolaivka, Dudchany, Kostyrka, Lvivove, Odradokamyanka, Osokorivka, Respublikanets, Tiahynka, Chervonyi Mayak, Vesele and Kherson itself all came under drone attacks, airstrikes and artillery fire. Seventeen private homes, a cell tower, a shop, an outbuilding, private garages and a car were damaged.

Prokudin emphasized that Russian aggression had claimed one life and left 8 people wounded.

Dnipropetrovsk region

A 19-year-old man was wounded in Russian attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk region, regional governor Serhii Lysak reported.

According to Lysak, Russian forces used FPV drones and heavy artillery to strike the Nikopol district, hitting the city of Nikopol as well as the Marhanets and Pokrovske communities. The injured teenager is receiving medical care. A private home caught fire, and three houses in total were damaged.

In Kryvyi Rih, Russian drones hit an industrial facility.

Artillery fire on the Zelenodolsk community sparked a house fire, while drone strikes in the Synelnykove district ignited blazes at a private house, an outbuilding and a farm.

Zaporizhzhia region

Russian forces carried out 576 attacks across eleven settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region over the past day, regional governor Ivan Fedorov reported.

According to Fedorov, Russian troops launched 20 airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novodanilivka, and Olhivske. A total of 392 drones of various types—mostly FPV—attacked Plavni, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohirya, Olhivske, Charivne, and Novoandriivka. Seven rocket attacks targeted Huliaipole, Novodanilivka, and Olhivske, while 157 artillery strikes hit Plavni, Huliaipole, Olhivske, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Novoandriivka.

Authorities received 203 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure.

Kirovohrad region

Several trains are running late due to Russian attacks and infrastructure damage in the Kirovohrad region, Ukrzaliznytsia reported. Affected services include trains No. 54 (Odesa–Dnipro), No. 254 (Odesa–Kryvyi Rih), No. 51 (Odesa–Zaporizhzhia), No. 128 (Lviv–Zaporizhzhia), and No. 92 (Odessa–Kramatorsk).

According to Kirovohrad regional governor Andrii Raikovych, Russian forces carried out a drone attack overnight on an infrastructure facility in the region. No casualties were reported. Firefighters from the State Emergency Service quickly contained the fire, and all relevant services are working at the site.

Donetsk region

The Russian army killed three residents of Donetsk region on September 22, regional governor Vadym Filashkin reported on Facebook.

According to Filashkin, two people were killed in Bilozerske and one in Kostiantynivka. Another 13 residents were wounded over the past day. He noted that the total number of Russian-caused casualties in Donetsk stands at 3,655 dead and 8,176 injured, excluding Mariupol and Volnovakha.

Poltava region

A fire broke out overnight at an enterprise in Poltava following a drone strike, regional governor Volodymyr Kohut reported.

According to Kohut, air defense forces once again repelled Russian drone attacks during the night.

In the Myrhorod district, drone debris fell in an open area without causing any damage.
