Poltava region
Overnight on August 19, the city of Kremenchuk in Poltava region came under a massive Russian attack. After the strike, thick black smoke blanketed the city.
The Mayor Vitalii Maletskyi, reported that dozens of explosions were heard in Kremenchuk. Energy and transport infrastructure facilities were hit, while the full extent of the damage is still being assessed.
“As for damaged residential buildings, a special commission will determine the extent of losses for each apartment and house. No one will be left without assistance and support,” Maletskyi emphasized.
Kherson region
In the Kherson region, six people were injured over the past day as a result of Russian aggression. This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, on Telegram.
He said that Antonivka, Molodizhne, Naddnipryanske, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Komyshany, Bilozerka, Romashkove, Zorivka, Berehove, Nadiivka, Tomyna Balka, Kizomys, Stanislav, Sofiivka, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Mykilske, Tokarivka, Novotiagynka, Beryslav, Shliakhove, Odradokamyanka, Burhunka, Mykolaivka, Olhivka, Novoraisk, Osokorivka, Dudchany, Mylove, Sablukivka, Novooleksandrivka, Vesele, Kozatske, and Kherson itself came under Russian drone terror and artillery fire.
Two apartment blocks, 22 private houses, a bus, and several cars were damaged. As a result of Russian attacks, six people were injured, Prokudin added.
Donetsk region
Over the past day, the Russian army killed five residents of Donetsk region, according to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.
He said that Russian forces killed three people in Kostiantynivka, one person in Dobropillia, and one more in Novodonetske. Another 8 people were injured.
Filashkin stressed that the total number of victims in Donetsk region — 3,425 killed and 7,852 wounded — does not include Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Sloviansk
The Sloviansk City Military Administration, reported that on the evening of August 18, Russian troops launched a missile strike on Sloviansk in Donetsk region.
Around 9 p.m., two Iskander-M missiles hit an industrial area in the Lisnyi neighborhood.
According to Mayor Vadym Liakh, one civilian woman was injured in the attack. She was hospitalized, and doctors assess her condition as moderate.
Zaporizhzhia region
Over the past day, Russian forces carried out 441 strikes on 13 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region, as reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
According to him, Russian troops launched four airstrikes on Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Malynivka, as well as two MLRS attacks on Plavni and Preobrazhenka. They also carried out two missile strikes on Zaporizhzhia.
A total of 312 drones of various types, mostly FPVs, targeted Bilenke, Veselyanka, Plavni, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Malynivka, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne. The Russian forces also launched 121 artillery strikes on Plavni, Prymorske, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Malynivka, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne.
Fedorov stressed that authorities received 54 reports of destroyed apartments, houses, infrastructure facilities, and vehicles.
Kharkiv region
Over the past day, 16 settlements in Kharkiv region came under Russian attacks, leaving six people injured, including two children, according to Oleg Synehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
He said that in the village of Ruska Lozova, Dergachi community, three women aged 43, 59, and 70 were injured; in the village of Peremoha, Lozova community, a 35-year-old woman, an eight-year-old boy, and a 2.5-year-old girl were injured. A 19-year-old man was injured by the explosion of an unknown object in the village of Volokhivka, Vovchansk community. Also, a 46-year-old woman sought medical help after being injured during shelling of the village of Vilshany, Solonytsivka community, on August 16.
Synehubov emphasized that Russian forces attacked Kharkiv region using three GAB bombs, nine Geran-2 drones, three Lancet drones, and four FPV drones
Sumy region
From the morning of August 18 to the morning of August 19, Russian forces carried out over 60 strikes on 31 settlements in Sumy region. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
In the Sumy community, a woman born in 1962 suffered an acute stress reaction after a drone strike. Most attacks were recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts.
Russian forces carried out over 20 GAB bomb strikes, about 10 MLRS shellings, attacks with FPV drones, dropped VOG munitions from drones, and conducted a missile strike. During the day, nine more people were evacuated from border communities in Sumy region.
Chernihiv region
On the morning of Tuesday, August 19, Russian drones attacked Chernihiv region, causing power outages. This was reported on Telegram by Viacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration.
According to him, “unfortunately, infrastructure was damaged. Some settlements are experiencing electricity supply problems. Energy workers and rescuers are already working on restoration."
