On the night of March 20, 2025 (starting at 19:00 on March 19), the Russian forces launched 171 attack drones, including Shahed UAVs and various types of decoy drones, from five locations: Oryol, Shatalovo, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Chauda in occupied Crimea.
Ukraine’s air defense, including aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups, engaged the aerial threat.
As of 08:30, Ukrainian forces confirmed the downing of 75 Shahed drones and other UAVs over multiple regions: Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson.
Additionally, 63 decoy drones were lost from radar tracking without causing any damage.
The attack resulted in damage in Kirovohrad, Sumy, and Donetsk regions.
