Russians deployed a record number of Shahed drones over Ukraine

At night on November 25, Russians deployed a record number of Shahed drones over Ukraine.

The main target of the strike was Kyiv. This information was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A total of approximately 75 Shahed attack drones were detected coming from two directions. The drones were launched from the area of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Krasnodar Krai of Russia and the region of the Kursk region of Russia.

The Ukrainian air defense operated in at least six regions of Ukraine: Kyiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Kirovohrad oblasts.

To repel the Russian air attack, anti-aircraft missile troops, tactical aviation, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare units were engaged.

As a result of this night, by the efforts and means of the Air Forces, in collaboration with the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine, 71 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs were destroyed. The majority of the Russian drones were shot down in the Kyiv region.

The air raid alert was declared only at 8:46 in the morning in the capital and the region, and the danger lasted for over 6 hours. Debris from Russian UAVs fell in several areas of Kyiv, causing a fire in a kindergarten.
