In the Luhansk region, the Rusian forces has doubled the use of drones over the course of a day. The head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Artem Lysogor, reported this on Facebook.
According to Lysogor, "the aggressors continue pressing near Makiivka and remain active in the Serebrianka Forest. Our defenders repelled five assaults in these sectors of the front. The enemy infantry is increasingly supported by a large number of drones. Recently, their use has doubled over a day".
The Russians launched air strikes on Bilohorivka and Serebrianka Forest. In these directions, they actively used artillery and mortars. In the second half of January, the number of enemy shelling on the eastern front is increasing, according to the announcement.
As noted by the regional administration, in Luhansk, "many settlements have been forgotten by the Russians from the day of occupation until today. The residents of Novodruzhivka were promised to restore electricity and water supply initially after the pseudo-referendum in 2022, then after the so-called 'first elections' in 2023."
During the presidential re-election campaign in Russia, the Russian forces are not expressing any intentions regarding the restoration of this city.
As added by the regional administration, during the summer, there was still regular transport connection with neighboring Lysychansk and Severodonetsk, but it has been absent for almost six months.
Residents of the occupied Dovzhansk, captured in 2014, have also become accustomed to not expecting help from the Russians. Accidents on water pipes within the city and around it occur almost every week, but the Russians do not consider it necessary to carry out major repairs to the system, emphasized in the Regional State Administration.
