Russians launched 179 drones at Ukraine

On the night of March 22, 2025 (starting at 19:30 on March 21), Russian forces launched 179 attack drones, including Shahed UAVs and various decoy drones, from multiple directions: Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Chauda in occupied Crimea.

Ukraine’s air defense forces, including aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile fire teams, responded to the assault.

As of 08:30, Ukrainian defenders had successfully shot down 100 Shahed drones and other UAVs over the southern, northern, and central regions.

Also 63 decoy drones were lost from radar without causing damage.

The attack caused destruction in Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kyiv regions.
