The Russian army has shelled Odessa with ballistic missiles. As a result of the attack, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population.

Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.

"Three people were killed as a result of the attack, and three others were injured. All necessary medical assistance is being provided to the victims. There is damage to civilian infrastructure," he wrote.

It is known that a 22-year-old police officer has died. Two young men lost their lives as they ran across the road to seek shelter elsewhere. One was struck in the heart, the other in the head, by shrapnel.

It's also noted that in Odesa, the Operational Headquarters of the district administration will start operating at the site of the "landing" in the morning.

The mayor addressed the residents of Odesa, warning them about the possibility of intensified enemy air strikes in the near future. In this context, he urges citizens to respond promptly to alarm signals and to take cover during Russian shelling.

Russian forces have been attacking Odessa almost daily with strike drones like the Shahed, as well as cruise and ballistic missiles. In the city and the region, there are still no air defense systems like the Patriot or SAMP/T, which are capable of intercepting ballistic targets.
