Since the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation, the Security Service of Ukraine has been investigating more than 1,500 criminal proceedings for treason and espionage. More than 340 of them have been sent to court.
During this period, more than 600 Russian agents and spies conducting intelligence and subversive activities against our state were exposed.
Thus, as a result of a multi-stage special operation, a sabotage and intelligence group of Russian military intelligence was detained.
Enemy agents were preparing for the physical liquidation of the Minister of Defense and the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of our country, as well as a well-known Ukrainian activist.
In Kyiv:
The SSU neutralized the Russian intelligence group, which included officials of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine.
Officials gave the enemy intelligence on the arrangement of the state border and personal data of Ukrainian law enforcement officers.
In Mykolaiv:
The former head of the Mykolaiv District Prosecutor's Office was exposed, who, after February 24 of last year, voluntarily offered his help to the enemy in the war against Ukraine.
While in office, the attacker passed information about the results of enemy shelling, passwords at checkpoints, and information about military prisoners of the Russian Federation to the Russian special services.
In Khmelnytsky:
The SSU detained a spy - a citizen of the Russian Federation, who arrived in Ukraine in January 2022 to carry out intelligence and subversive activities against our state.
His "legend" was allegedly visiting relatives. And the real task is to create an extensive agent network for gathering intelligence and sabotage in our country's western regions.
In Volyn:
Another spy neutralized. He turned out to be a citizen of Belarus who collected information about the deployment and movement of units of the Armed Forces in the region.
According to all the exposed facts, the counter-intelligence of the Security Service is conducting systematic work to bring all guilty persons to justice.
