The Security Service thwarted the escape from Ukraine of a former official from Kherson who aided pro-Russian forces in the occupied city.

The accomplice was successfully apprehended at the "Krakivets" border crossing in Lviv region while attempting to travel to the EU.

According to case materials, this woman served as the deputy head of the Kherson Emergency Medical and Catastrophe Aid Center.

During the occupation of the regional center, she joined the leadership of the captured medical institution and handed over 24 ambulances to the Russian forces. To achieve this, she personally signed a corresponding "order" for the appearance of procedural legality.

Additionally, the defendant assisted pro-Russian forces in the mass deportation of Ukrainian children. They were transported in ambulances from Kherson to Crimea and then to Russia, masking the illegal removal under the guise of medical transport.

Furthermore, the command of Russian forces used ambulances for evacuating wounded soldiers from the front lines to military hospitals. Moreover, on the eve of Kherson's liberation, Russian forces transported stolen medical vehicles to the left bank of the Dnipro River.

After the de-occupation of the city, the accomplice of Russia remained in Kherson, attempting to evade justice under the guise of being "apolitical." However, in late summer 2023, she moved to Lviv and applied for social benefits as an internally displaced person. Later, the defendant decided to flee abroad through the "Krakivets" checkpoint, where she was apprehended by the Security Service and National Police.

During searches at the addresses of the defendant in Lviv and Kherson, flash drives and documents providing evidence of criminal activity were seized.
