The Security Service of Ukraine continues to develop and carry out unique special operations to cleanse the Black Sea of Russian forces, their military equipment, and other installations.

Recently, officers from the 13th Main Directorate of the SSU’s Military Counterintelligence Department conducted a combined special operation using both maritime and aerial drones. The target was Russian radar equipment placed on Ukrainian offshore gas production platforms.

First, one of the rigs was struck from the air by a drone, followed by an attack from a maritime drone. As a result, a Russian “Neva” radar system—used by the Russians to monitor air and surface conditions—was destroyed, along with warehouse facilities and a residential unit on the platform.

“As part of a single special operation, SSU specialists deployed two types of drones, which demonstrated the effectiveness of combined use. Once again, we reminded the enemy that no Russian junk belongs in the Black Sea,” the Security Service of Ukraine noted.

To recall, with the help of surface drones, the SBU has previously struck the Crimean Bridge and 11 Russian warships. This has helped reduce Russia’s dominance in the Black Sea and restore the grain corridor.
