The Security Service detained another supporter of Russia who adjusted air attacks by the Russian Federation on Zaporizhzhia and anticipated the full occupation of the region.

According to the investigation, the detained person turned out to be a church choir member and the wife of the local UOC (MP) priest. It was established that Russian occupiers attempted to target the locations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the regional center based on her coordinates.

The Russian forces was primarily interested in the temporary deployment points of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units involved in counteroffensive operations on the Berdyansk and Melitopol directions. SSU operatives identified the whereabouts of the Russian informant and apprehended her in her own residence in one of the villages near Zaporizhzhia.

As the investigation revealed, the suspect had supported the criminal actions of Russian occupiers since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and hoped for the capture of the entire southern region of Ukraine. She repeatedly shared this information with her acquaintances in Moscow during phone conversations. Later, the suspect began tracking the locations of the concentration of personnel and military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces within the community. She transmitted the obtained information via messenger to her acquaintances in Russia, who then reported it to the representatives of Russian special services. During searches at the place of residence of the detainee, a mobile phone was found, which she used to transmit classified information.

Based on the collected evidence, the Security Service investigators informed the suspect about the suspicion under Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information about the direction, movement of weapons, ammunition, and military supplies to Ukraine, the movement, displacement, or location of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, committed under conditions of martial law).

The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
