SSU neutralizes Russian agents gathering data on military air defense systems in Odessa

The Security Service neutralized a group of FSB agents operating in Odessa. The hostile cell consisted of two military personnel and their accomplice.

Acting on Russian intelligence objectives, the operatives surveilled locations of air defense systems protecting Odessa.

To pinpoint coordinates, agents systematically toured the regional center and its adjacent areas.

Upon identifying "target" objects, they covertly photographed and marked respective geolocations on Google Maps.

Another task for the hostile group was clandestinely installing wireless magnetic cameras in the Odessa seaport area.

For concealment, enemy agents used taxi services, while their accomplice disguised her appearance, constantly changing wigs.

The SSU meticulously documented all facts of the aggressor's reconnaissance and subversive activities, apprehending an FSB group resident and his accomplice when they photographed a military facility.

A local resident, another member of the hostile cell, was arrested in her own home after conducting reconnaissance near a potential target.

The SSU also undertook comprehensive measures to secure locations of Ukrainian forces.

During searches, the detainees' mobile phones, purchased separately and used exclusively for communication with the FSB, were confiscated.

SSU investigators informed the suspects of charges under Part 3 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed by an organized group under wartime conditions).

Currently, the criminals are in custody, facing possible life imprisonment.
