Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine neutralized an FSB spy network that was gathering intelligence on the locations of Defense Forces and strategically important facilities of Ukrzaliznytsia.

As a result of a special operation in the Donetsk region and Odessa, three Russian agents were detained. They were identified as a resident of Kramatorsk and two Odesa locals who supported Russian aggression.

Following FSB instructions, they scouted their cities, covertly documenting key railway stations involved in transporting heavy weapons and ammunition to the front.

The agent from the Donetsk region had an additional task of locating positions of Ukrainian troops defending the Kramatorsk direction. To do this, she traveled to settlements near the front line, gathering intelligence from local residents during casual conversations.

The obtained information was sent to their Russian handler via messenger, using Google Maps with detailed annotations.

SSU officers documented the criminal activities of the suspects and detained them at their residences.

During the searches, mobile phones used for communication with their Russian handler were seized.

The SSU investigators charged two suspects under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under martial law).

The actions of the third suspect were qualified under Part 3 of Article 114-2 (unauthorized dissemination of information about the movement or location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military formations established under Ukrainian law, committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

All three are currently in custody and face sentences ranging from 12 years to life imprisonment, with confiscation of property.
