Russians attacked Ukraine with 31 missiles of various types. This was reported by the Air Force commander Mykola Oleshchuk.
The Russian forces attacked with:
• Ballistic missile Iskander-M;
• Aeroballistic missile Kinzhal;
• 29 cruise missiles X-101/X-555.
The Russians launched cruise missiles from 11 strategic bombers Tu-95MS, which were stationed in Volgodonsk and Engels.
According to the commander, the missiles flew from the north, with the main direction of the strike towards Kyiv.
"As a result of successful combat operations, all enemy missiles were shot down in the Kyiv region," Oleshchuk said.
The previous missile strike on the capital by the occupiers occurred 44 days ago.
During the attack on March 21, the Russians used cruise missiles X-101/X-555/X-55 from the strategic bombers Tu-95MS and ballistic missiles from the territory of the Russian Federation.
The air raid alarm in the capital lasted almost three hours.
After complex maneuvers in neighboring regions, the missiles approached Kyiv simultaneously from different directions.
"Approximately three dozen enemy missiles, including ballistic missiles, were intercepted over Kyiv and the surrounding area by air defense forces and assets," according to a statement by the Kyiv Military Administration.
At the moment, it is known for certain about two casualties – an 11-year-old girl and a 38-year-old man. There are no fatalities.

According to the mayor of the capital, Vitaliy Klitschko, ten people were injured as a result of the attack. Two of them have been hospitalized.
